North Hoyle Wind Farm: Notice of Lifting Operations, August 2017

Mariners are advised that heavy lifting operations are  due to be carried out within the North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm during August 2017.  A Notice to Mariners has been issued, which is summarised below and can be downloaded here.

The jack up platform the Wind is due to carry out lifting operations from the 10th August 2017.  The operations are expected to take 1-2 days to complete and will take place at the following location within the wind farm:-

  • Turbine NH04: 53° 24.705’N 003° 26.041’W

When jacked up, the Wind will be marked and displaying lights and day symbols in accordance with an Offshore Structure.

The vessel details, including a link to its present location, are:-

  • Wind: Jack-up platform | Call sign OXSW2

During the course of these operations the Wind may be restricted in her ability to manoeuvre.  Mariners are requested to keep well clear and to pass slowly, particularly when the vessel is afloat or manoeuvring. The vessel will maintain a listening watch on VHF channel 16 & 14.

The exact timing of the work may be affected by the prevailing weather and sea conditions.
