Rhyl Flats Wind Farm
The Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farm has been generating electricity since 2009. It is located 8km off the North Wales coast at the eastern end of the Constable Bank.
The Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farm has 25 wind turbines, each generating 3.6MW. Rhyl Flats can generate up to 90MW of electricity, enough to power more than 50,000 homes.
AWJ have been working with RWE npower renewables Ltd (RWE NRL) on this project since 2007. We provided Fishery Liaison Services throughout the construction of the project, and have ensured that key licensing conditions for the operation of the site continue to be met.
