Gwynt y Môr: Export Cable Maintenance Works, May 2015

Mariners are advised that cable maintenance works are due to be carried out on the export cable from the Gwynt y Môr Offshore windfarm between the 12th May 2015 and early June.  A Notice to Mariners has been issued by Balfour Beatty in connection with these works.  This notice can be downloaded here and is summarised below.

The vessel Ndurance is due to be carrying out cable maintenance works in an area of 500m radius, centred on the location 53° 24.314’N 003° 34.577’W, which is to the south of the windfarm area (illustrated in the map available here).

During survey operations the Ndurance will be restricted in the ability to manoeuvre.  All vessel traffic is asked to keep at least 500m clear of the vessel when it is engaged in operations.  The vessel can be contacted on VHF Channel 16 at all times.
