Gwynt y Môr Windfarm: Weekly Notice of Operations, 4th May 2012

This is a summary of the weekly notice of operations for the Gwynt y Môr Wind Farm issued on 4th May 2012 to harbour masters and sea users .  This notice describes recent operations, work planned for the next 7 days, and provides a list of vessels operating on the site with their contact details.

Work carried out over past 7 days

The following work has been carried out in the past week:

  • Freja has been carrying out survey work on the export cable route (see our earlier update here).
  • Penrhos Bay has been used as a CTV / Stand by vessel, running out of Conwy Marina.  She will stand by during jacket installation duties (see the Notice to Mariners 10 here).
  • Stanislav Yudin has been standing by at the OSP East location awaiting the arrival of the Jacket barge.
  • Anglian Monarch has been providing support for Stanislav Yudin.
  • Anglian Earl has been providing support for Stanislav Yudin.
  • Union Beaver has been laying Mattresses & carrrying out Diving Operations at Various locations alongside Workbarge MPR2 who has been assisting with anchors (see earlier update here).
  • Sun Bird has been alongside Cammel Laird Wet Basin loading grillage for installation vessels.  She departed on 1st May at 1900 BST.

Work planned for next 7 days

The work planned for the next 7 days on the site is:

  • Freja will be carrying out survey work on the export cable route (see earlier update here).
  • Penhros Bay will be utilised as Crew Transfer / Stand by vessel, running out of Conwy Marina. To stand by during Jacket installation duties.
  • Union Beaver will be laying Mattresses & carrrying out Diving Operations at Various locations alongside Workbarge MPR2 who will be assisting with anchors (see earlier update here).
  • Union Boxer towing barge UR 99 and carrying the OSP East Jacket which is due to leave Methil, Fife and arrive on site in the next few days
  • Stanislav Yudin is due to start installation of the OSP East Jacket.
  • Anglian Monarch and Anglian Earl will continue to provide support to Stanislav Yudin.

Port Arrivals

The planned port arrivals over the next 7 days are:-

  • Cammel Laird Birkenhead/Port of Liverpool.
    MV Marlene is expected to arrive on 3rd May delivering transition pieces and monopiles.
  • Mostyn.
    None planned
