Gwynt y Môr Windfarm: Cable Mattress Laying Works

Work on the laying of the export cable rock mattress for the Gwynt y Môr wind farm is due to start on the 11th April 2012 and is due to be completed by 11th May, but may continue until 30th May 2012 if delayed.

This work is due to be carried out by the 54m DSV Union Beaver, and will be supported by the 26m Multicat MPR2.  DSV Union Beaver will be anchored, and the anchor spread may be up to 500m.  There may also be divers in the water.

All vessels are requested to stay at least 1,500m clear of DSV Union Beaver and MPR2.  VHF Channel 16 will be monitored at all times.
