North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm: Met Mast Light Fault

Mariners are advised that the Meteorological Mast for the North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm located off the coast of North Wales is currently displaying the incorrect light signals, and that both of its display lights on opposite ends are not in sychronisation.  A Notice to Mariners has been issued, which is summarised below and can be downloaded here.

The North Hoyle Meteorological Mast is located near the north western corner of the North Hoyle Offshore Wind Farm as follows:-

  • NH Met Mast – 053° 25.339’N 003° 28.563’W

A map showing the location of the Met Mast and turbines within the wind farm area can be downloaded here.

Mariners are requested to keep a good lookout.  Be aware that the current light signals are not displaying Mo(U)15s and that its two lights on opposite sides are not synchronised.

An update will be distributed once these lights have been corrected.
