Mariners are advised that following recent cable maintenance works conducted by Balfour Beatty, a short stretch of cable remains exposed on the seabed. A Notice to Mariners has been issued to advise of the location of this cable. This notice can be downloaded here and is summarised below.
The export cable is exposed between the following locations:-
- Position A: 53° 24.4606’N 003° 35.3261’W
- Position B: 53° 24.2259’N 003° 34.7334’W
These locations are shown in a map that can be downloaded here. Cable protection will be installed over the cable in the next few weeks. In the meantime mariners are requested to refrain from seabed activities in this area including anchoring.
