Survey work on the export cable from the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Windfarm is due to start imminently. A notice about these operations can be downloaded here and is summarised below.
The survey of Subsea Export Cable No. 1 is due to start on Wednesday 13th March 2013 for approximately 1 week. The survey work will be carried out by the survey vessel Lia, which will be working in the approximate position 53°11’N 03°36’W.
MV Lia will be towing survey equipment from her stern. Vessels are asked to observe a 500m safety zone around the Lia. The call sign for the Lia and also a link to information about the vessel, is given below.
