Mariners are advised that survey operations are due to be carried out off the North Wales coast within the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm during March 2020. A Notice to Mariners has been issued, which is summarised below and can be downloaded here.
A meeting to discuss proposals for an extension to the Gwynt y Môr Offshore Wind Farm, which will be called “Awel y Môr” is scheduled to take place at 1830 on 28th January in Rhyl.

This notice provides an update on the current (October 2019) information that is available for mariners operating in the eastern Irish Sea in the vicinity of the Isle of Man Interconnector Cable. It includes a summary of information about the cable route, the location of rock mattresses, and locations where the cable may be exposed.
Mariners are advised that survey work on the Western HVDC link cable in the Irish Sea, North Channel and Firth of Clyde has now been completed. Rock placement work in the North Channel and Firth of Clyde has also been completed.
There is presently no construction or survey work taking place along the Western HVDC
