Gwynt y Môr Windfarm – site clearance works

Site clearance work within the Gwynt y Môr windfarm site is due to start in mid July 2012 until further notice.

This work is being carried out in advance of the installation of foundations.  The work will be carried out by the vessel Sentinel, which is a 60m long dynamically positioned (DP) vessel.  During operations the Sentinel will be on DP and will have equipment deployed on the seabed.  All other vessels are requested to give at least 500m clearance.

Information about the Sentinel, including her current location, can be found here.  You can also find real-time information about the location of all of the vessels currently working on the windfarm on the AWJ website here.

The Sentinel can be contacted on VHF Channel 16 if required.  Further information is available in a Notice to Mariners here.

If you have any queries about this project, please contact Jim Andrews, Fisheries Liaison Officer by e-mail or by phone on +44(0)7908-225865.
