Mariners are advised that heavy lifting operations are due to be carried out in the North Hoyle wind farm, by the jack-up platform Wind. These are due to start on the 15th October 2017 and will take approximately 4-8 days to complete (subject to weather and sea conditions).

Location of works
The maintenance operations will include heavy lifting at 3 locations within the Rhyl Flats Offshore Wind Farm boundary. The wind turbines where these operations will take place, along with their latitude & longitude are given below:-
- NH13 – 053° 24.993’N 003° 26.871’W
- NH30 – 053° 25.715’N 003° 28.649’W
- NH01 – 053° 24.455’N 003° 28.166’W
The Wind will operate on a 24hr basis and will actively transmit an AIS signal.
Vessel details
Wind is a 55 m jack up vessel with a red hull and white superstructure. The vessel details, including a link to its present location, are:-
- Wind: jack up vessel | Call sign OXSW2
When jacked up, the Wind will be marked and displaying lights and day symbols in accordance with an Offshore Structure.
Mariners are requested to keep well clear and pass slowly, particularly when the craft is manoeuvring or during lifting operations. A 500m exclusion zone has been requested around the vessel.
The Wind will be monitoring VHF channels 16 & 14
