Deep Green Project: Survey Work, Holyhead Deep, June 2015

Mariners are advised that survey works are due to be carried out for a period of 14 days in and around Holyhead Deep starting on the 9th June 2015.  A notice to mariners about this activity can be downloaded here, and is summarised below.

Survey Operations

Hydrographic and geophysical survey operations are due to be carried out in the development site at Holyhead Deep and along the export cable route corridor around the north of Holy Island.

These survey operations will be carried out by the survey vessel MV Chartwell, a 26m monohull research vessel.  Details of the vessel are given below.

During survey operations the vessel may be towing survey equipment on and below the water surface, up to 200m behind the vessel.  A wide berth is requested at all times as the vessel will e restricted in her ability to manoeuvre.  Survey speed will be around 4 knots.
