Gwynt y Môr Windfarm: Weekly Notice of Operations, 27th April 2012

This is a summary of the weekly notice of operations for the Gwynt y Môr Wind Farm issued on 27th April 2012 to harbour masters and sea users .  This notice describes recent operations, work planned for the next 7 days, and provides a list of vessels operating on the site with their contact details.

Work carried out over past 7 days

The following work has been carried out in the past week:

  • Freja has been carrying out survey work on the export cable route (see our earlier update here).
  • Penrhos Bay has been used as a CTV / Stand by vessel, running out of Conwy Marina.  She will stand by during jacket installation duties (see the Notice to Mariners 10 here).
  • Stanislav Yudin arrived and has been conducting pre-construction surveys.
  • Anglian Monarch has been providing support for Stanislav Yudin.
  • Anglian Earl has arrived in the area to provide support for Stanislav Yudin.

Work planned for next 7 days

The work planned for the next 7 days on the site is:

  • Freja will be carrying out survey work on the export cable route (see earlier update here).
  • Penhros Bay will be utilised as Crew Transfer / Stand by vessel, running out of Conwy Marina. To stand by during Jacket installation duties.
  • Union Beaver will be laying Mattresses & carrrying out Diving Operations at Various locations alongside Workbarge MPR2 who will be assisting with anchors (see earlier update here).
  • The OSP East Jacket which is due to be installed by Stanislav Yudin has been loaded on to barge UR 99 (towed by Union Boxer) and is due to leave Methil, Fife in the next few days
  • Stanislav Yudin will remain on standby in-field until the barge carrying the OSP East Jacket arrived.
  • Anglian Monarch and Anglian Earl will continue to provide support to Stanislav Yudin.

  • MPR 2: Anchor handling barge.
  • Stanislav Yudin: Crane vessel | Call sign 5BYM2 |
  • Anglian Monarch: support vessel for Stanislav Yudin | Call sign MYFR6.
  • Anglian Earl: support vessel for Stanislav Yudin | Call sign 8PRA
  • UR 99: Delivery Barge | Master – tbc
  • Union Boxer (tbc): Tug for Delivery Barge | Call sign ORPS

Port Arrivals

The planned port arrivals over the next 7 days are:-

  • Cammel Laird Birkenhead/Port of Liverpool.
    MV Bente expected to arrived on 25th April and is expected to depart on 27th April.
    MV Marlene is expected to arrive on 3rd May with the next two component sets.
  • Mostyn.
    None planned
