The outline schedule for installation work on the Gwynt y Môr windfarm has just been confirmed by RWE npower renewables.
The installation of the offshore substation jackets is scheduled to start on the 11th April, and may take until the end of May. There will be some piling work associated with each substation site. The location of the substations is shown in the map that we circulated recently (available here).
Foundation installation for the wind turbines will begin in July 2012. The overall project plan is summarised in the Notice to Mariners that was circulated in January 2012 (here).
From 1st April 2012 we will circulate weekly updates of all operations on site.
